Secret Santa Exchange

This year we participated in the the 2011 Corgi Blogger Secret Santa Exchange again & had lots of fun shopping and wrapping presents for our recipient. But we had even more fun opening the gifts we received!

Dear Sadie & Laurie of Sadie the Rescued Corgi,
Thank you so much for all the gifts! You spoiled us! And the wrapping paper was adorable.
Mom set all the presents out on the floor & let me pick which one to open first.

Naturally I went after the best smelling one! I pushed it all around the living room before I finally got the paper torn off. Yummy treats!

Then I went for the fun one! I tried & tried to get the ball of the stinkin cardboard but Mom finally stopped laughing & helped me.

Mom also finished unwrapping the rest of the gifts cause I got what I wanted ~ BALL!

Thanks so much Sadie & Laurie!!! We've already used the travel bowls when we went to the grandparents, munched on some of the treats, played with the balls & thrower (mom forgot to take pictures) & modeled the santa hat (see last post).

xoxo, Charlotte & Angie

We also want to thank Lulu & Kat of Indignant Corgi for hosting the exchange!
Can't wait for next year!!!

Merry Christmas!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We were blessed as usual to have so many friends & family to celebrate with including a secret santa.
Every year I try to get Charlotte to pose with a santa hat but she never cooperates, she must get that from her dad :) I was hopeful this year because her secret santa (who I will reveal in the next post) sent us a hat with a cord on it plus optional beard, but she still wanted nothing to do with it!
1st attempt-surprise attack while sleeping in the mud room with Santa hat & attached beard!
2nd attempt-bribing with a treat in front of the Christmas tree!
Final attempt-yum!

We wish you the very best for the holidays!

It's So HOT. . .

It's so stinkin hot & humid here this week that we haven't got much done outside. When we get home from work, I go feed the cats (we have 10! babies now).

And by the time I get back to the house, Charlotte's done her duty & is waiting by the back door!

(Momma please let me in, I'm HOT!)

Hope everyone else is staying cool!

A Few Christmas Photos!

"Mommy! Put the camera down & HELP me! Grandma & Aunt Becca are being mean!"

"Ham, Ham, I want Ham & so does cousin Columbus, gimme some ham!"

"Please don't make us be in the same picture, we only like each other when food is involved"

Our Corgi Santa Gifts!

Charlotte & I participanted in a secret santa exchange for Corgi's this year. Our package arrived mid-December & I placed it under the tree with the other presents. Everyday Charlotte would sniff the box & give me the big sad brown eyes, "Please can't I open it mommy." After traveling for four days, we finally had time to open it on Sunday evening!
"Hmm, wonder what's in here"

"Something smells yummy in here"

"Yep I think I found it"
Charlotte received a Kong flyer, portable food bowl (upgrade from the current Cool Whip container), & yummy fruitables. I received the adorable "Real Corgis Speak Welsh" notecards that Ivy makes & sells in her etsy shop "Paper Elixir"!
Thanks Ivy & Bryson of http://www.thesenakams.typepad.com/, we LOVE it!

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!

Mmm. . .Vacation

We have returned from a VERY relaxing vacation with our friends Ryan & April. Thanks for inviting us along.

Puerto Vallarta was a blast & absolutely beautiful.

Our view from the 6th floor.

We took a whale watching tour (but didn't get any good photos), an "outback" tour through several small towns & the Sierra Madre area, & spent alot of time relaxing by the beach.

My parents took care of the "kids" while we were gone. Think Charlotte misses playing ball & napping with Grandpa & getting extra treats from Grandma!
